Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council meets about Subway Construction issues.
The GWNC meeting will be held on Wednesday July 9 at 7 p.m. at the Ebell (4400 Wilshire Blvd.). Free parking is available in the lot on the west side of the building (enter from 8th St., at the south end of the Ebell complex).
The meeting will feature a question and answer session with Michael Cortez, Metro’s Construction Relations Representative for our section of the Purple Line Subway Extension Project to address neighborhood concerns about the ongoing utility relocation work at Wilshire and La Brea, and about activity at the Metro staging site at Wilshire and Lorraine.
If you have a specific question to ask Mr. Cortez, or a specific issue for him to address, please send it to transportation@greaterwilshire.org no later than Monday, July 7, so we can forward it to Metro and they can come prepared with information and answers. This is a great opportunity for an up-close-and-personal dialogue on a subject that concerns many of our neighbors — so please submit your questions, and please join us on Wednesday for the in-person discussion!
