The Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council (GWNC) election is approaching on April 15, 2025, and this year, voting will be conducted entirely by mail. Unlike previous elections, you must apply to the City to receive a ballot.
All individuals over the age of 16 who live, work, or own property in the GWNC area are eligible to vote for their area representative and one of six special interest board seats (Renter, Business, Education, Religion, Other Non-Profit, and At-Large).
Neighborhood Councils are the first level of official city government, advocating for residents and businesses on issues like land use, crime, and transportation, making your vote crucial.
To participate, gather qualifying documents (e.g., a driver’s license for residency or additional proof for special interest seats) and apply for your ballot either online (Click on “Apply to Vote” and create an online account if you don’t have one) by Monday, April 7th. You can also request a ballot by mail, but we recommend that your ballot request form be postmarked no later than Wednesday, April 2nd.
